Description

ABSTRACT
This study investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and interactive platforms as "digital scaffolding" to enhance English writing skills for Grade 6 students in the disadvantaged context of Chu Puh Commune, Gia Lai Province. Following the Global Success curriculum, 120 students and 5 teachers participated in an 8-week action research cycle consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The pedagogical framework utilizes AI-driven tools (Gemini/ChatGPT) for brainstorming and linguistic proofing, combined with multimodal platforms like Canva and Padlet to foster a process-oriented and collaborative writing environment. Data triangulated from pre- and post-tests, student questionnaires, and teacher journals indicate significant improvements in students' writing performance, particularly in lexical diversity and structural organization. More importantly, the findings reveal a substantial reduction in writing anxiety and a boost in learners' confidence and digital literacy. This research confirms the feasibility of low-cost digital transformation in rural education and proposes a practical model for personalized language instruction in the central highlands of Vietnam.

Biography

BIOGRAPHYI am Huynh Ngoc Trung, a dedicated English language educator with nearly 30 years of experience in the field. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Language Education from Hue University and am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Theory and Methodology of English Language Teaching at Tra Vinh University. Throughout my distinguished career, I have spent 25 years coaching gifted students for provincial and national competitions, while consistently earning the "Emulation Fighter" title for my pedagogical excellence. Currently teaching at Nguyen Trai Secondary School in Gia Lai Province, I am deeply committed to empowering students in disadvantaged and ethnic minority areas. My research interests focus on digital transformation, specifically utilizing AI and interactive platforms to foster learning passion and student engagement. Many of my "Initiatives in Teaching" have been officially recognized at the district level for their practical impact. Guided by the philosophy: "Work with passion and love your students wholeheartedly; you will reap abundant fruits," I continue to bridge the educational gap, ensuring that every student, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to excel in English.
