Abstract Evaluation

Before making any abstract submission to the convention, authors are advised to understand that all abstracts submitted to the convention are reviewed by at least two colleagues. The review results are then submitted to the track directors and the academic committee will decide if an abstract is accepted, revised, or rejected. These are the main criteria that the reviewers use for the evaluation of the abstracts.

Format The title must not exceed 15 words. Only the first letter of the content words are capitalised.
The abstract must be between 150 and 250 words.  
The abstract must be presented in the form of one single paragraph. No heading or bullet point is allowed. No in-text citation or reference is included.
Session type, track (strand), and biodata must be completed.
Relevance The proposal is current and relevant to the field and/or the theme of VietTESOL International Convention 2026.
Foundation The proposal refers to the specific theory, practice, and/or research on which the presentation is grounded.
Practicality The proposal provides details of participant outcomes, sufficient evidence to support practices, conclusions, and recommendations.
Clarity The proposal communicates its purpose, focus, and key ideas in a clear, well-organised manner, using precise language and sufficient detail to make the presentation plan and expected content easy to understand.
