Description
As English increasingly becomes a tool for learning across subjects, teachers need practical ways to support both language development and content understanding. Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) helps learners use English to investigate topics, express ideas, solve problems, and demonstrate understanding.
Using examples from primary and pre-primary materials, this workshop explores how global citizenship themes, nature and science topics, project work, and future skills can create meaningful, content-rich English lessons. Participants will examine how to plan intentional CLIL pathways with clear content aims, language support, learner interaction, and age-appropriate outcomes.
By positioning CLIL as a bridge toward content learning through English, the workshop highlights classroom routines, scaffolding techniques, and confidence-building strategies teachers can apply in their own contexts.
