Description
The shift toward English as a second language necessitates pedagogical paradigms that empower learners and foster active engagement, particularly in secondary education. This action research investigates the efficacy of integrating multimedia-enhanced, station-based learning to promote learner autonomy and vocabulary acquisition among junior high school students. Recognizing the limitations of traditional, teacher-centric instruction, the study implemented a rotation model where students engaged with diverse digital stimuli, including interactive gamified quizzes and visually compelling multimedia content. Over an eight-week period, participants navigated through discrete learning stations designed to reinforce target lexis and grammatical structures via collaborative and technology-mediated tasks. Data triangulation, utilizing pre- and post-intervention assessments, classroom observation rubrics, and learner reflections, revealed substantial gains in lexical retention. Furthermore, the findings indicate that empowering students to interact with multimedia content using contemporary design and assessment platforms significantly heightened their intrinsic motivation and communicative confidence. The presentation will elucidate practical frameworks for designing effective digital stations, managing technology-integrated classrooms, and seamlessly weaving formative assessments into the instructional flow. Ultimately, this research underscores the transformative potential of blending station-based methodologies with digital tools to cultivate a dynamic, learner-driven language environment.
