This study investigates the relationship between students’ multiple intelligence (MI) profiles and their use of language learning strategies (LLSs) among 150 tenth-grade students at FPT High school Quy Nhon in Gia Lai Province. The research utilizes McKenzie’s MI inventory and the Strategy Inventory for Language Learning Questionnaire to gather data on students’ MI profiles and their LLS use. Pearson product-moment correlation was applied to analyze the relationship between students’ overall MI profiles and their use of strategies, as well as between specific intelligences and strategy preferences. The results reveal a low to moderate but positive significant correlation between students’ overall MI profiles and their deployment of various LLS categories. The findings suggest that language teachers can enhance learners’ strengths and address weaknesses in their strategy use by identifying students’ dominant intelligences and tailoring LLS instruction accordingly. These insights have important implications for second language pedagogy, particularly in improving the effectiveness of LLS instruction and promoting more personalized, effective language learning experiences.
