Description
In the rapid pivot to ESL paradigm from EFL, observations, despite being a powerful tool for quality control, is often a high-stress, low-frequency administrative bottleneck. Given the transition toward ESL, sustainable professional development requires a continuous, low-stakes collaboration rather than isolated, high-pressure evaluations. The workshop aims to equip participants with a simple, yet meaningful pear-coaching model: ’10-Minute Loop’ – a specialized, asynchronous framework designed to foster professional development without disrupting the efficiency of daily operation and teacher burnout.
The model leverage micro-video and targeted feedback protocols to bring educators closer to both inquiry-based coaching and low-stake, frequent reflection through activities such as simulated asynchronous loop, practice delivering high-impact, criteria-specific feedback. From which, attendees can explore alternative perspective: professional development does not require lengthy workshops or stressful evaluations; it requires a structured, efficient system. Leaving the workshop, participants will be equipped with a practical toolkit which could transform their professional learning culture into one that is self-sustaining, psychologically safe, and deeply connected to the realities of the modern ESL classroom.
