Description

Amid rapid educational innovation and the increasing use of digital technology, developing integrated digital learning resources has become essential for promoting inclusive education. This study aims to develop CLIL-based learning videos for Grade 10, 11 Geography that integrate English subtitles and sign language to ensure equitable access to knowledge and support students’ foreign language development.
The research involved 462 students at Hoang Quoc Viet High School and Nguyen Hue High School, Lao Cai Province, during the 2024–2025 academic year. It included a needs analysis, the design and production of integrated videos, classroom implementation, and evaluation through pre- and post-tests as well as surveys of students and teachers. Quantitative and qualitative analyses were conducted to assess learning outcomes and user satisfaction.
Findings show that the Geography learning videos with English subtitles and sign language significantly enhanced students’ content knowledge, language competence, and participation in inclusive classrooms. The study concludes that integrating CLIL-oriented digital resources offers a practical and innovative approach to modernizing instruction and supporting Vietnam’s new general education curriculum.

Biography

I am a high school English teacher with 17 years of teaching experience at a high school in Lao Cai province. Throughout my career, I have been passionate about education and truly enjoy working with young learners. My love for teaching encourages me to seek new methods and experiences to make learning more engaging and effective for my students. My desire is to inspire students to become independent learners and effective communicators. I also wish to contribute to turning English as a Foreign Language into English as a Second Language. As a lifelong learner, I am always open to exploring innovative teaching techniques and connecting with fellow educators to grow professionally. With strong commitment and enthusiasm, I always strive to support my students in achieving their academic goals and preparing them for future opportunities in a globalized world. Teaching is not just my job; it is a source of joy and fulfillment in my life.
