Description
This study explores the use of artificial intelligence (AI), particularly ChatGPT and Gemini, in creating infographics to support English teaching and learning. In many English classes, students often have difficulty remembering vocabulary, grammar, and language structures because lessons are usually presented in large amounts of text and separated pieces of information. To address this issue, AI tools were used to create visual and well-organised infographics that help students understand and remember knowledge more effectively.
The study shows how teachers can use ChatGPT and Gemini to generate ideas, summarise lesson content, and design engaging learning materials for vocabulary, grammar, reading, and writing activities. Conducted with secondary school students, the study focused on improving students’ engagement and learning outcomes through visual learning strategies. Findings from classroom observations and student feedback suggest that AI-generated infographics help students become more interested, active, and confident in learning English. Students were also able to review and systematise knowledge more effectively through visual learning.
In addition, the use of AI helped reduce teachers’ preparation time and supported digital transformation in education. The study also offers practical suggestions for English teachers who want to integrate AI tools into their classrooms in creative and effective ways.
