In this 30-minute session, you will watch each tool produce dynamic speaking tasks, learn which tool works best when Internet access is unreliable, and see how to turn artificial intelligence content into printable handouts or offline audio files. You will get easy-to-use comparisons of the three platforms, discover ready-made prompts for class and homework, and practice writing simple prompts of your own. The session will show you how to adjust activities for different class sizes and levels, from large groups to one-on-one tutorials. In addition, you will see tips for troubleshooting common issues and questions. By the end, you will have clear, hands-on examples and simple guides to integrate into your teaching, helping your students practice speaking more often and gain confidence no matter your teaching context or environment.
Biography
Shidaun Campbell, known to his students at Lào Cai College as "Mr. Đăng," is a 2025-2026 English Language Fellow with over 20 years of experience in language education and teacher training. Specializing in communicative language teaching, he helps students and educators develop confidence in speaking through interactive methods, role-play, and drama-based techniques. With a degree in Drama and Dance and a strong background in public speaking, voice-over work, and classroom performance techniques, Shidaun incorporates storytelling, movement, and role-playing to create engaging lessons. His approach encourages learners to use English in real-world contexts, making communication more natural and meaningful.
At Lào Cai College, he leads workshops that train teachers in practical ways to integrate role-play and communicative activities into their classrooms. His methods focus on improving student engagement, fluency, and confidence, using interactive exercises that promote spontaneous and authentic communication. Beyond his work in Vietnam, Shidaun has trained educators in multiple countries, demonstrating how performance-based learning can enhance English instruction. His research on drama as a tool for language acquisition was published in an academic journal following his workshop at Haiphong University.
