Description

The integration of educational technology in rural primary schools plays a crucial role in promoting self-learning among students. With limited access to educational resources due to socio-economic factors and qualified teachers, digital tools such as interactive learning apps, offline e-content, and radio or TV-based instruction offer students opportunities to explore and learn independently. So, there's a need for integrating technology.
In Kim Xa's rural education scenario. By harnessing the transformative potential of technology, Kim Xa can unlock the full potential of its rural youth. Educational technology serves as a bridge between formal classroom learning and informal learning outside the classroom through online forums, learning-oriented social networks, and open educational resources. This integration fosters learner autonomy by encouraging students to actively seek, select, and apply knowledge in real-life contexts. However, the role of educators remains vital – they guide students in navigating technology, foster motivation, and adapt content to local needs. By combining technology with supportive teaching practices, rural education can become more inclusive, personalized, and empowering for young learners.

Biography

Using technology in rural education is helping students learn on their own and overcome problems like lack of books, teachers, or good schools. In many villages, students now use mobile phones, tablets, and online apps to study. These tools give them access to videos, lessons, and practice activities so they can learn anytime and anywhere.

Platforms like Eduhome, YouTube, ELSA Speak, Doulinggo,.. offer lessons in local languages and follow school subjects. This helps students understand better and go back to difficult topics when needed. It also lets them learn at their own speed and explore new ideas.

Even with technology, teachers are still very important. In rural areas, teachers now help students learn how to use digital tools. They guide them, answer questions, and make sure they use technology in a smart and safe way. Teachers also help students stay motivated and think for themselves.

To do this well, teachers need training on how to use technology in their teaching. When teachers and technology work together, students become more confident and do better in school.

By supporting self-learning with technology and strong teacher support, we can give every student—no matter where they live—a fair chance to succeed and reach their full potential.
