In the context of a comprehensive digital transformation in education, integrating technology into teaching and learning is no longer a trend but a necessity. In English language education—a subject requiring continuous and multi-skill practice—using online learning platforms on mobile devices not only enhances flexibility and personalizes learning pathways but also creates an interactive and engaging learning environment tailored to today’s digital-native students. Among current technological tools, the PREP.VN application, which is an online learning platform focused on personalized IELTS preparation, stands out for its ability to effectively support students in IELTS preparation through an automated scoring system, detailed feedback, and seamless operation on mobile devices. Its comprehensive, modern learning ecosystem supports all four language skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. Therefore, leveraging PREP in high school English teaching is an appropriate direction that meets the need for innovative teaching methods and the development of learner autonomy in line with the 2018 General Education Program. Integrating PREP into high school English instruction aims to enhance student autonomy and self-assessment, standardize English proficiency following international test formats, increase flexibility and interaction in learning via mobile technology and modernize teaching methods, shifting toward student-centered, personalized learning. Practicing English skills through PREP.VN can lead to expected outcomes like improved test scores, enhanced English proficiency, and a personalized learning experience. The students show increased motivation and self-directed learning habits, writing and speaking skills demonstrate measurable progress and students develop clear learning goals and strategies for international exams.

Biography

My name is Ha Thi Ngoc Loan. I am an English teacher at iSchool Quy Nhon with over 15 years of experience teaching students from grade 6 to grade 12. I earned my Bachelor's degree in English Language Teaching in 2009 and completed a Master's degree in English Linguistics in 2016. Throughout my teaching career, I have been committed to innovating my teaching methods and integrating technology to enhance student learning. I have a strong interest in the use of mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets to support language learning in a flexible, personalized, and student-centered way. Passionate about education and continuous professional development, I strive to contribute to educational innovation, especially in applying technology to foster students’ language competence and learner autonomy.
