Description

This proposal introduces a small project where some Grade 9 students in Vietnam tried using Twee and ChatGPT to help them study English. The aim was to see if these tools could make students more independent in their learning.
Students were shown how to use Twee for learning vocabulary and listening, while ChatGPT was used for practicing speaking and writing. There wasn’t much formal training, and students mostly used the tools in their free time. Some students liked the tools and said they were helpful. Others didn’t use them much.
The study didn’t collect a lot of data, but a few students said they felt more confident in using English after the project. The teacher observed that some students worked harder on their own.
This presentation will talk about what was done, what seemed to work, and what didn’t. It might be useful for teachers who want to try using AI tools in their classrooms, especially when there isn’t much support or equipment.
