Description

The post-pandemic shift to digital education in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, has underscored the urgent need for comprehensive teacher training that goes beyond technological proficiency. This study explores the development and impact of integrated training programs that combine digital pedagogy, mental health literacy, and artificial intelligence (AI) tools for educators across universities and K–12 institutions in the city.

Using a mixed-methods approach, the research investigates:

How digital competency training enhances classroom innovation and teacher confidence.

The role of AI tools in lesson planning, assessment, and student engagement in the Vietnamese context.

How mental health support and trauma-informed training contribute to teacher resilience and reduce burnout.

The effectiveness of current professional development programs in addressing the challenges of post-pandemic, hybrid, and tech-enhanced classrooms in Ho Chi Minh City.

Findings will inform policy recommendations and the development of a localized, culturally responsive framework for future-ready teacher training in Vietnam’s largest urban education hub.
