This research explores the pragmatic features of press releases and their implications in enhancing translation skills through contextual understanding. With 3 years of teaching translation at Phenikaa University, the researcher found out that how to translate effectively and how to convey the intended message of press releases in English requires more than linguistic proficiency; it necessitates a deep understanding of the contextual nuances. Besides the pragmatic features of press releases, the research identifies common challenges faced by third-year English major students at Phenikaa University. The findings aim to provide teachers and students with practical insights into the interplay between pragmatics and translation multilingual contexts. This research contributes to the field of translation training by highlighting the critical role of pragmatics in the translation process and offering an educational framework for enhancing translation education not only at Phenikaa University but also other universities in Vietnam.

Le Thi Thanh Mai is a dedicated lecturer at the Faculty of English at Phenikaa University. Born in Hai Phong City, Vietnam, on February 21, 1989, she has cultivated a profound passion for language and education throughout her academic journey.
Mai completed her Master of Arts in English at Hanoi University, where she developed a strong foundation in language studies. Her enthusiasm for education and research propelled her to further her studies, and she is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Her research interests focus on language studies and contrastive-comparative linguistics, an area that enables her to analyze and compare different languages, thereby enhancing the understanding of linguistic features and their applications in teaching and communication.
As she continues her journey in academia, Mai remains committed to her goal of enhancing English language education and fostering a deeper appreciation for translation studies at Phenikaa University. She aims to create a positive impact not only on her students but also on the broader educational landscape in Vietnam.
