Description

Even if a lesson plan is not essentially set in stone, it is still important for teachers to structure their lessons, visualize possible issues, and come up with solutions that might work (Jensen, 2001; Scrivener, 2011; Harmer, 2015; Harmer, 2017). It can also be thought of as an important framework of the lesson which teachers can use as a reminder even if they have to be flexible. Teachers ought to be aware of how necessary it is for both students and teachers as a good lesson plan can improve students’ impression on the teacher, which in turn develops better rapport between students and the teacher. Thus, this presentation aims to highlight some essential approaches to the planning of lessons. This session is recommended for novice teachers and teacher trainees.
