Description
With the bloom of AI across various aspects of life, especially when AI platforms are updated with multifunctions that are changing the way individuals work and learn. Aiming to better facilitate our learners with their new way of learning, we are three Vietnamese educators reflecting our teaching and exploring the potentials of AI applications in supporting feedback processes for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) writing assessment by employing 3 chat bots Chat GPT, Gemini, and Deep Seek as effective tools. Recognizing the need for personalized learning among our non- major English learners who have diverse personal goals, we have intentionally utilized and combined AI tools to tailor the lessons, provide detailed feedbacks on EFL writing practice, and suggest improvement strategies aligned with learners’ writing progress individually. Rooted in the principles of technology-enhanced learning and sustainable assessment, the study adopts a qualitative research approach, namely teachers’ self-reflection and observation to explore how AI can enhance formative feedback in writing instructions. The findings contribute to ongoing discussions about the integration of AI into sustainable, learner-centered assessment practices in EFL contexts.
