Description
This research explores how EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teachers working with adult learners perceive and apply the concept of charisma in their teaching. Although charisma is traditionally seen as an innate personality trait, it has recently been considered as a skill that can be developed to enhance learner engagement. The study will employ a grounded theory for data analysis from in-depth, semi-structured interviews with approximately 50 EFL instructors from universities, colleges and English centers in the Mekong Delta region. The findings of the study expect to find out some emerging theory about teachers’ view of charisma, their understanding and implementation so that EFL educators build better rapport and sustain motivation among adult learners, contributing to fostering effective adult language learning environments.
