Description

Teacher professional development is widely regarded as a fundamental pillar in the advancement of educational quality and the realization of sustainable pedagogical innovation. This abstract explores three interconnected approaches to professional development, namely engaging in action research, participating in academic conferences, and integrating educational technologies.
Firstly, the writing of professional initiatives or small-scale research enables educators to reflect critically on their instructional practices, address specific challenges systematically, and try out practical solutions. By documenting and sharing their findings, educators contribute not only to their own professional growth but also to the improvement of learning environment and teaching practices.
Secondly, participation in academic conferences offers educators opportunities for academic dialogue, exposure to global educational trends, and the cultivation of collaborative networks. Through contributing to and learning from scholarly discussions, teachers can expand their theoretical understanding and refine their instructional methodologies in alignment with international standards.
Finally, bringing educational technology into everyday teaching and professional training has become a powerful driver of change. The utilization of artificial intelligence tools, digital learning platforms, and online training resources promotes instructional design, facilitates access to professional learning communities, and supports lifelong learning.
By uniting these three dimensions, this paper proposes a comprehensive model for supporting teacher growth focusing on analytical research, scholarly participation, and technological implementation. This model aligns with contemporary demands for adaptive, innovative, and research-informed teaching practices.

Biography

My name is Đặng Thị Hương Hoa, a teacher at Vân Canh Ethnic Boarding Secondary and High School. Most of our students come from ethnic minority groups, and this creates both meaningful opportunities and unique challenges in teaching. One of the biggest challenges we face is the lack of access to professional training, academic exchange, and educational technology.
I chose this topic because I believe that even in a remote area, teachers can still grow professionally by using practical approaches. In my view, three key strategies are especially helpful: conducting action research, taking part in academic conferences (including online ones), and applying educational technology whenever possible. These methods have helped me improve my own teaching, stay connected with current trends, and bring new ideas into the classroom.
Through this study, I hope to share a model that supports sustainable and context-appropriate professional development for teachers working in similar environments.
