Description
The initiative “Measures to contribute to improving the effectiveness of using Project-Based Learning in English for Secondary School” aims to improve the quality of teaching and help students develop their language skills and soft skills comprehensively. Based on the fact that a number of students lack confidence and are afraid to communicate in English, teachers have applied the project-based learning method to stimulate students' initiative, creativity and positivity in the learning process.
The measures implemented include: organizing project-based learning activities in clear steps (planning, implementation, presentation and evaluation), integrating games such as Quizizz, Lucky Number, Hangman to create a fun learning atmosphere, and diversifying the forms of product presentation such as posters, drawings, models, videos and role-playing activities. These methods help students not only understand knowledge deeply but also practice presentation skills, teamwork and critical thinking.
Through the application process, students showed clear progress: more confident in communication, more active in group activities and interested in the subject. The survey results and students' year-end academic achievements also showed clear improvement compared to the beginning of the school year. This measure has contributed practically to the innovation of education in the direction of capacity development in the 2018 General Education Program.
