Description
This study explores the effectiveness of integrating peer assessment with artificial intelligence (AI) tools to enhance the writing performance of English major students in IELTS Writing Task 2. Employing a mixed-methods research design, the study involved pre- and post-tests, structured peer-assessment sessions, and AI-assisted feedback with the use of Grammarly as a research tool. The findings indicate significant improvements in students’ writing, particularly in coherence, grammatical accuracy, and lexical resource. The integration of peer assessment and AI tools not only promotes collaborative learning but also fosters self-regulation and critical thinking skills, providing a robust framework for writing development. These findings underscore the potential of this dual approach to address challenges in writing instruction and contribute to more effective pedagogical strategies for language educators.
